A scope of work protects both the client and the cleaning contractor — it's the agreed baseline against which performance can be measured. This checklist covers the tasks a typical professional office requires on a weekly basis, organized by area. Adjust the frequency column to match your actual cleaning schedule.

This is not our account-specific scope — that document is written after the walkthrough of your specific facility. This checklist is a starting point for conversations with any cleaning vendor.

Using This Checklist With a Vendor

Give this list to any cleaning vendor you're evaluating and ask them to mark which tasks are included in their quoted scope. Tasks they exclude should be noted — either because they're included in a separate service line (floor care, for example) or because they've omitted them from their price. A vendor who won't engage with a written task list is telling you something about how their scope disputes will go.

Our quotes include a written scope based on a walkthrough of your specific space — not this generic list. But this list is a useful benchmark for comparing what you receive against a known standard.
